Ok thanks- I believe I understand it and will call to see if the tax code is different for the IRA.  All this tax code talk is making me hesitate about getting some funds in Vanguard; I fear I'll spend my 70th birthday hunched too many tax code calculations.

Please tell Mrs. Ray that your penance for possible outbursts of impatience at home is to post on these forums to help dolts like myself.
