The #1 issue "To the voters", not the media, not the polsters and not the politicians.
The #1 elections issue that is being ignored by the media is "illegal aliens". The newspaper today had some tiny issue about illegals demanding better welfare. The media did allocate two to three pages to Iraq.
I don't like the media trying to set the agenda. They tried that with the Amnesty Bill, and failed. And many on this forum, just roll along with the media BS.
The voters are very concerned about bringing 20 to 30 million people in from Mexico and providing them with free health care, free schooling, free homes, and eventually, social security, which they did not pay in to.
The voters are struggling to make ends meet and Hillary wants a Free Health Care plan disguised as some sort of hybrid. Middle Class America has health care. They pay for it. So, they are asking, why offer free health care to mexico?
The people that are frightened by the concept of illegal aliens as the #1 issue will start to villify those that oppose illegal aliens. They will say tha it is Racist. The Mexican group "LaRaza", which means "the race", seems to be abel to come up with millions of dollars to lobby our government. The call themselves the "the race" meaning that they are superior to all others. That is about as racist as you can get. Then the neocons and leftist start up with claims of "round em up", designed to make it sound like the voters want to put them in cattle cars.
For all the posturing and blather by the media, the polls and the politicians, as the elections get closer, the voters are going to force the issue of illegal aliens to the front.
And finally, the big question, "what is wrong with Mexico?" Why do they have to send their poor to the US? They have agriculture, manufacturing, tourism and oil, vast wealth. Why isn't the media asking where that vast wealth is going? The US is being used as a dumping ground for the poor from Mexico, and the wealthy ruling families in Mexico laugh at us. ...... just to be clear, there is no real "government", in Mexico, the nation is controlled by the 28 ruling families.... but the media ignores this.
