ETFs inside of % of assets fee account?

Looking for some insite. I am being advsed to put 500K into ETFs. My financial advisor charges 1.2% annual fee for assets under management. I could see this fee for actively managed funds, but question whether ETFs, being indexed and passive, deserve this 1.2% management fee??? Appreciate perspectives for and against.
