I agree that TSM investors are presently "well-positioned."  My main gripe with the 4 fund portfolio is that it can be pretty volatile.  My admittedly untrained observation is that it appears if you add a few more funds, you may have less volatility and similar returns.

In any event, what will happen over the next decade or more years is anyone's guess.  IMO, whether you like active or passive, or TSM or slice and dice, is simply a matter of preference.  They key is low cost versus high cost, not active versus passive.
