Its not how much money you make, rather how much money you keep. The more you move your money around the less you keep. Picking a fund ,in advance, for the long run, means that you assume there will be down times during which you plan to leave your money alone in the fund of your choice. Star is one of those funds that quietly gets the job done year in and year out. Interestingly it carries a large percentage of foreign funds relative to other balanced funds. Very nice expense ratio to boot, and its not that big compared to other blockbuster funds.
