Thanks for the details.
For over a year I've been using a cell phone exclusively; the cell phone connects to the house wiring so I just use normal, cordless house phones when home.
But there are the infrequent times when a second phone at home would be useful. And I tend to run up the cell minutes when away on vacation. So I'm going to get basic Vonage phone service at the house and use a single, compact cordless phone for the occasional use at home, but which I can also pack and take on vacation.
