Based on my needs listed below...,
Needs - One line dedicated to my Home Office - heavy use - inbound & outbound calling with all the usual features (call waiting, call forwarding, etc.). - A dedicated fax line independent of the main number - One line dedicated for our personal use inbound & outbound - light use.
The best configuration would look like this;
1. $40 Small Business Basic Plan (includes) - Unlimited inbound - 1500 minutes per month outbound - Separate dedicated Fax line
2. $13 Additional Spare Line (includes) - Unlimited inbound - 500 minutes per month outbound
The monthly total would be $53 + taxes & fees per month PLUS the Broadband connection. If the limitations on the outbound minutes prove to be inadequate, the per minute charge beyond the 1500 would be 3.9 cents. For $10 more per month, I can upgrade to Small Business Premium Unlimited which removes the 1500 outbound limit completely.
For reference, excluding my DSL connection, I am paying Verizon an average of $130 per month (including taxes & fees) for essentially the same functionality.
It's a no brainer, I'll switch to Vonage once the relocation issue has been settled.
Thank you all for your help, advice, and expertise.
Once again, the M* community ROCKS!
Bob
