is very confusing. Your answer might be best. Stick with good technology now, and wait to upgrade later. The problem with 1080p is that you are buying for the future since there isn't much of any content for it now except HD DVD players. There seems to be a lot of controversy regarding HD DVD players, since there are two technologies. I think I've made up my mind to stay away from 1080p. I went to one of the audio visual forums and read through a bunch of posts over there. The videophiles are not even sold yet on 1080p, so why should I be? There is not strong consensus on that forum, however, as to which Plasma brand is best. Many like panasonic ("Panny" they call them), but others like Samsung and Pioneer. Who knows, I'll have to go into the store and see.
