Jim,
You don't understand the meaning of the title of this forum "Tightwad tips". It means that, save the most, stop the waste. Some of us are more tightwad than others.
I keep my thermostadt at 67 in days and 63 at night in winter and 78 in summer. Use timers wherever practical. Not needed? turn it off. Maximize insulation. Seal electrical outlets and switches. Replace older furnaces, water heaters, and A/C with high efficiency ones. Seal off fireplaces, install vent-free gas firelogs which are 100% heat efficient. Get the idea?
And Wallstreet, don't let that Jim discourage you.
