Congratulations! You did it! Your candidate won and now you are a happy camper. On December 24th, 2003 the Lowest Rated Poster on this forum made his political predictions based on metaphysics, extrapolation, personal observations, and Proprietary Guessing Indicators. The lowest rated poster predicted what is better known as THE CFS TRIFECTA [which included a BIG GWB victory, GOP gains on the US Senate, and GOP gains on the US House Of Representatives]. The rest is history, THE CFS TRIFECTA took the GOLD. It is time to start working on making America a better nation. It is time to star a new monologue. This will be Personal-Attack-Free-Zone. This Lowest Rated Monologue will concentrate in US politics and the Global War On Terrorism [GWOT].
You are invited to post replies, but personal attacks will not be tolerated, because we must RESPECT others. The Lowest Rated Monologue will run until further notice or until secured by our friendly M* Managers. CFS will concentrate on posting on this monologue ONLY. If you prefer to discuss politics off-line, send CFS an email to this addres: PoliticalGurus@Yahoo.com
Please drop by The Lowest Rated Monologue from time to time becase we are going to have fun! Thanks 4 reading!

CFS, Thought I would drop by to bring you back to reality. I told you long ago that Obama will be the next President, as you were still saying he wouldnt beat Hillary. Well beat Hillary he did and the next stop is the White House. How you can be so consistently wrong is what I dont get. Jump on the train, before you get left behind.

Earnabuck, CFS may be wrong on McCain winning big - I think he is - or even on his winning at all. I personally think Obama is the odds-on favorite in this very Democratic leaning year. But Obama does not have a lock, and he can be beaten IMO. BTW, I would be careful about calling CFS "consistently wrong". He has not been on every time, but he's been on the money with his political predictions more often than not over the years. Significantly, CFS won our Politics Forum Election poll in 2004 for the best prediction of the results from among 50+ participants. (I remember it well, since I ran the poll and had promised to contribute to the charity of choice for the winner, which I did ;-) BTW, we may wish to recall that a whole lot of folks thought Bush was dead meat for reelection back at this time in '04. But it didn't work out that way :-) This is not 2004. Every election year is different. Still, I would not be so eager to count my chickens just yet if I were you earnabuck. Just a thought ;-) (CFS - I'm outta here for two weeks (annual mission team church building trip - to SE Ohio this year. Hope the weather cools off a bit. Catch you when I return.) MWL

Thanks for dropping by and thanks for the comments. President Obama? It is NOT going to happen, shipmates. JSM is really lucky about having BHO as his opponent. As I have said ad nauseam, the 2008 presidential election is for the GOP to lose. The DEM has learned the art of losing presidential elections. DEM retains the US Senate, DEM retains the US House of Reps, and the GOP retains the White House. It is slam dunk. Thanks for reading !!!

Famous last words: The war in Iraq is LOST. Guess what ..... We are winning in IRAQ !!! Click here for more. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080726/ap_on_an/iraq_winning_the_war And here, one more time, cfs 2008 prediction number 3: 3. AMERICAN TROOPS IN IRAQ. The number of American fatalities will drop to less than 10 per month, with the majority of fatalities not combat related. Significant progress made across the board in Iraq, but Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will continue to insist that the war in Iraq is lost. The war president will out-flank his opposition, and will embarrass the Do-Nothing Democratic Congress by giving a de facto VI DAY (Victory in Iraq) proclamation prior to the general election. The war president will implement an accelerated withdrawal plan for American troops out of the country, but not as fast as demanded by the Do-Nothing Democratic Congress. Less than 130,000 troops in Iraq by the end of July. Less than 120,000 troops in Iraq before Election Day. Less than 110,000 troops in Iraq by the end of the year. Total troops withdrawal will be a turnover item for the next administration.
Click here for the rest of the cfs 2008 predictions: http://lowestrated.com/2007/12/predictions-2008.html See I told you so, politics is FUN, and beating the heck of the IFWs in IRAQ is REAL fun!!! Thanks for reading.

Here is a good op-ed from the LA Times. A couple of quotes But the irony is we have a presidential contest between Obama, whose entire primary candidacy was driven by his unshakable position as the toughest and most pessimistic critic of the war, and John McCain, an unrepentant supporter of the war who called for the surge at a time when the rest of the establishment was running for cover.
Yet during Obama's visit to Iraq last week, it was the presumptive Democratic nominee who was enjoying a love fest with embattled Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Maliki, who told the world -- including U.S. voters -- that Obama's timetable was on the right track and that the quicker U.S. forces got out of Iraq, the better. And there is more, check this link. http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/la-op-mead27-2008jul27,0,7118072.story Thanks for reading.

Now that John Edwards is DONE with this affair now in the open, I can imagine both camps, JSM and BHO, checking things out with the National Enquirer and the rest of the Muckrakers looking for some type of trash on their opponent. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muckraker I don | |
