Congratulations! You did it! Your candidate won and now you are a happy camper. On December 24th, 2003 the Lowest Rated Poster on this forum made his political predictions based on metaphysics, extrapolation, personal observations, and Proprietary Guessing Indicators. The lowest rated poster predicted what is better known as THE CFS TRIFECTA [which included a BIG GWB victory, GOP gains on the US Senate, and GOP gains on the US House Of Representatives]. The rest is history, THE CFS TRIFECTA took the GOLD. It is time to start working on making America a better nation. It is time to star a new monologue. This will be Personal-Attack-Free-Zone. This Lowest Rated Monologue will concentrate in US politics and the Global War On Terrorism [GWOT].
You are invited to post replies, but personal attacks will not be tolerated, because we must RESPECT others. The Lowest Rated Monologue will run until further notice or until secured by our friendly M* Managers. CFS will concentrate on posting on this monologue ONLY. If you prefer to discuss politics off-line, send CFS an email to this addres: PoliticalGurus@Yahoo.com
Please drop by The Lowest Rated Monologue from time to time becase we are going to have fun! Thanks 4 reading!

I just took the post election Zobgy tracker on-line and when that polling data is released it is going to be fun to read, took me more than 30 minutes to answer all the questions. Was reading a press release from John Zogby dated 08 November 2004 in which he offers his Mea Cula [Mea Culpa: I am a Pollster, Not a Predictor] in which he says "I got it wrong. And I got it right. Last May, I did indeed say that John Kerry would win and, if he didn't, it would be his fault. Please understand that I wasn't saying this as a partisan but as a historian of elections. I did not have a horse in this race. For those of you so kind to point out that my brother is on the executive committee of the Democratic National Committee, you need to understand that he was an active Democrat when my polling showed George Pataki defeating Mario Cuomo in 1994, when I had Bob Dole doing much better than other polls suggested against Bill Clinton in 1996, and when I polled for the National Republican Congressional Committee in 1998. It seems I spent lots of my time back then denying I was a Republican. And to those who note my Arab heritage and again my relationship with my brother, please read the Democratic National Committee position on the Middle East. It offered me no comfort. I had no horse in this race." And there is more, but you get the message, and he closes the article with this "My polling was right. My ability to predict was wrong. For those of you who have supported my work over the years, I apologize. I will do better next time: I will just poll, not predict." Good on you John Zogby, leave the prediction game to CFS and the rest of the political aficionados, and talking about predictions CFS will come up with the latest predictions for the year 2005 and they will be on the street on December 24th 2004, exactly ONE year to the date of predicting THE CFS TRIFECTA.

This is what we predicted in conversation 9270 the last year on December 24th. We will do the same thing on the 24th of December this year and let the chips fall where they fall. Here are the previous set of predictions and we expect the next list to be a short one, and everyone is going to be on the lookout to see if they become the real thing. Check predictions 1,2,3,6,7,8,9,10 below.

C F S | 12-24-03| 07:48 PM| Total Replies: 13 This year is almost in the bag. What a great year for the United States Of America. I expect the year 04 to be a very interesting year. These predictions are based in methaphysics and pure extrapolation. This is what we can expect:
1. DEAN wins DEMS nomination, offers the second position to Hillary Clinton, but she just says no to Dean, so he picks Senator Edwards as the running mate.
2. BUSH is reelected with a BIG win [40 to 45 states to include the Golden State].
3. GOP gains in Senate and House seats.
4. Iran offers to come clean, will accept UN inspectors and will allow the UN inspection team to destroy WMDs.
5. North Korea fears another Shock And Awe - concurs with UN inspectors to check for NUKES in North Korea.
6. Al Qaeda scores BIG in Saudi Arabia - thousands of deaths in the land of Bin Laden.
7. Lybia signs various agreements with the USA, THE RAT from Tripoli visits the White House - another photo op for GW.
8. Colin Powell, kept out of the loop during several important decisions, pack and goes back to Harlem, says Adios to Bush and company.
9. With over 100k US troops on the ground, the Iraqi constitution is done. Saddam is killed by a mob. Paul Bremer and General Sanchez are back in Washington DC for Congressional Investigation.
10. Israel finishes building THE WALL - Yassell Arafat is killed by an insider, the Palestinians to sign a peace treaty, this time for good, with Israel.
Now, bookmark this baby and get back to it by 31Dec04

Have reports of another American killed in action in Iraq and that will make 28 for the month of November, but the number is not solid, this number can be changed in a few minutes notice. We are making some PROGRESS in the city of Al Fallujah, our GIs will get everything under control in that city, then turn it over to the Iraqi military and not the Elite Republican Guard General, not this time, oh one thing we can expect is to continue rolling thru the desert until we clear all the cities from those nasty looking IFWs. Victory is only a few months away. We are making progress.

Moral Values Won It For Bush

Readers Digest version of a NYT article, Karl Rove said this Tuesday that opposition to gay marriage was one of the most powerful forces in American politics today and that politicians ignored it at their peril. "This is an issue on which there is a broad consensus" [noting that presidential election that took place as voters in 11 states backed constitutional amendments barring same sex marriages]. Note that in all the 11 states it won by considerable margins. He said he was not certain that the votes necessarily helped Mr. Bush to defeat Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts. He noted that Mr. Kerry had won Michigan and Oregon, where the amendments passed by large margins. Talking about MORAL values he said "I think people would be well advised to pay attention to what the American people are saying." And I do concur with Mr Rove, the DEM party must go back to the drawing board and re-think their OLD platform, this is not going to change for the near future, so the DEM platform must change and accept what the populus is thinking NOW, we are no longer in the 40s, 50s, 60s, and early 70s. This is a whole new ball game in the USA and you better get with the program or become a party of the past.

Now what is your prediction on the market? I'm Tiaa Cref investor also. Thinking of taking a little out and investing in Oakmarks Select which just opened up to new investors again. BTW you may find this site interesting since you seem to be a pragmatist CAR Eugene Originally posted in thread: 21687

Eugene thanks for dropping by The Lowest Rated Monologue and what I plan to do is to continue adding to the fixed income part of my portfolio until I reach my goal, which is to have a perfect balanced portfolio with a 50/50 between fixed and equities - your money is pretty safe with TIAA-CREF. I will study things around and will come up with a couple of predictions by the 24th of December, all just for the fun of it, not to be taken seriously and not to bet the house on. Thanks for the link to the CAR site, I will study the site.

Why is everyone crying for PLO Arafat?

Strange thing to see the leaders of this planet now talking about the good Yasser Arafat, the man born in Egypt who became the leader of the largest Terrorist Organization in the Middle East. As I have said ad nauseam this man INVENTED modern terrorism. Oh, I just read a good article by Jeff Jacoby from the Boston Globe, and here is just a quote. "Perhaps his signal contribution to the practice of political terror was the introduction of warfare against children. On one black date in May 1974, three PLO terrorists slipped from Lebanon into the northern Israeli town of Ma'alot. They murdered two parents and a child whom they found at home, then seized a local school, taking more than 100 boys and girls hostage and threatening to kill them unless a number of imprisoned terrorists were released. When Israeli troops attempted a rescue, the terrorists exploded hand grenades and opened fire on the students. By the time the horror ended, 25 people were dead; 21 of them were children. Thirty years later, no one speaks of Ma'alot anymore. The dead children have been forgotten. Everyone knows Arafat's name, but who ever recalls the names of his victims? So let us recall them: Ilana Turgeman. Rachel Aputa. Yocheved Mazoz. Sarah Ben-Shim'on. Yona Sabag. Yafa Cohen. Shoshana Cohen. Michal Sitrok. Malka Amrosy. Aviva Saada. Yocheved Diyi. Yaakov Levi. Yaakov Kabla. Rina Cohen. Ilana Ne'eman. Sarah Madar. Tamar Dahan. Sarah Soper. Lili Morad. David Madar. Yehudit Madar. The 21 dead children of Ma'alot -- 21 of the thousands of who died at Arafat's command."
