Not sure why there's not a preview function in Firefox, so thought I'd test out a link here.

Hmmm...I guess you don't use standard BB codes.

Let's see what it looks like if I post a link without code.

It doesn't link.

Maybe it only works in Internet Explorer?

Or a later version of FF?

MasterPlan,

There should be a Preview tab at the top of the editor that allows you to preview your post.  Regarding your link question, you can create links by highlighting a chunk of text, then clicking the chain link in the editor's tool bar.  From there you can specify the desired  address to link to.

Thanks,

Thanks.  I eventually saw a tab, but I don't have an editor's tool bar. It may be the result of changes I made to the  css to remove some of the clutter.  I was hoping I could use standard BB code for things like links and images like I do with other boards.

Do you know what kind of code a user should use if they want to input things manually?  Thanks!

Interesting. I'm trying this from another browser (Opera), and I still don't see a toolbar. Do you have to use IE to get the toolbar?

The editor toolbar and link functionality are supported by most major browsers.  Which operating system are you using with Firefox and Opera? It could be that the CSS revisions you're employing are conflicting with the toolbar.

The CSS change was only for Firefox.  I used Opera "as is".

I'm using WinXP.

It's no problem forgoing the toolbar, but most boards allow you to manually enter links and images via BB or html code.  I'm wondering if your site supports something similar.

The toolbar utilizes standard html code to create the links. There currently isn't another way to generate links as access to the post's underlying html is limited.

Okay, thanks Darrin.  It was worth a shot.
