The University of Colorado is considering a $9 million program to bring
high-profile political conservatives to teach on the left-leaning
Boulder campus.
CU officials want to create an endowment for a Visiting Chair in Conservative Thought and Policy.
CU political science professor emeritus Ed Rozek recently bought an ad in the Daily Camera in which he tallied voter registration records of faculty and administrators.
Rozek's finding: Of 825 faculty members in arts and sciences,
business, education, journalism and law, he found only 23 registered
Republicans.
Well, finally someone in the ivory tower understands diversity might encompass more than different skin colors. It will be interesting to see if any Conservatives jump into what might be considered just another affirmative action program.

I saw that on the local news here in Denver. To most of Colorado, Boulder is our laughing stock. The local radio personalities refer to it as the PRB (People's Republic of Boulder). All it is are communist professors and ageing, rich, ex-hippies.

Dale, I think one commentator had it right. They want a conservative there to espose conservative thought so that they can study him and it. Sort of like a zoological exhibit.

Ta, Mike. Your "zoological exhibit" inspired the image, however, so we can share a "Hetty Award" or a "Mike Medal" or something similar.
Happy Saturday to all,

LOL, yep, that was a great one, Hetty.
As far as token conservatives. There's a market for 'em. George Will comes to mind. Even the NY Times has at least one writing commentary, David Brooks, although he's pretty moderate, imo.
