Sudhi, please come back, and explain it all to us!
Hi Coy:
I am not sure, but I think Sudhi may have been banned from the Morningstar forums.
Best wishes.

So this is a system that works except when it doesn't?

Maybe those 2007 IRA deposits yesterday are driving the market up today.

Sudhi banned?
What a shame!

Does anyone know if Sudhi was really banned? I found his posts entertaining.

I agree with you. He never said anything that I can think of which would have banned him....maybe in another forum than V.D.
People gave him a hard time, but he believed in what he believed. Since 2003 or so it seems the MACD system started failing.. The MACD is the backbone of Sudhi's seasonal market timing, if some here did not know.

Thanks for the note to Petro. I looked it up and evidently he was sent packing to the season of his choice. Sudhi said "nonsense" too much? That what he thought.

Wow! - what an unfavorable season!

This has been a great "unfavorable season" (still ongoing, with the bottom nowhere in sight). The S&P is poised to erase all the gains since 2003. And most of the decline happened in just this one season!
I joined diehards.org to see the raving fools still talking about buy-and-hold. And this at a time, when buy-and-hold has got people a 40% loss in the last 10 years! Even if one dollar cost-averaged, practically every purchase outside of a 6-month window in Oct 2002 to Mar 2003, is now at a loss.
Anyways, the light proved too bright for them, so they had to ask me to leave and get back to their rah-rah for buy-and-hold. Their ranks are going to get a lot thin now for sure. Their next buy-and-hold investors' conference would be held in a phone booth!

And we get to watch those "raving fools" who do not understand asset allocation refer to Buy-n-Hold as 100% stocks.
Trying to make someone else look like an idiot by twisting the truth, at least to me, reverses the perception you are wishing for.
Like I said, I'm gone fishing.

Chin,
I have been talking about the stock-market portion of your asset allocation. Of course, almost nobody has 100% in stocks. Duh!
Happy fishing. I am quite happy to sit here and see my stance being vindicated. Watching this bear on the rampage has been fascinating. Sometimes I feel sorry for the people who are getting their butts handed by this bear, but then I think of the people that have endlessly insulted me on this forum. I can categorically say that I DO NOT feel sorry for those blowhards...
