Is there a section devoted to ETFs and a separate section for CEFs and, if so, how do I navigate there?

From website home page, click on screener, on screener page click filters, on filters page the ETFs & CEFs are listed under the industry drop down.

Steve- You have the answers to everything?  and are able to locate some kind of clip on any subject? Laugh In was such a super, super show.

I can get an individual CEF by putting in the ticket symbol, but when go to Filters and click on Industry in the grey bar area, I see accident and health as the first industry group but still having trouble figuring out how to best use the site. Please Help.

Since they released the Fed minutes the other day  - which I am sure you must have seen - that said the financial turmoil "could lead to a more severe and protacted downturn in activity than currently anticipated" are you staying the course, are you putting a little money in funds which go long and short or buying bear funds???

Hi Ed; I tend to optimism and believe we are closer to a bottom than top.  I am rebalancing in anticipation of a market expansion later in the year.  I prefer to manage risk through asset class diversification while staying only long and fully invested.

As I understand the status of Kentucky v. Davis, it is one of only four SC cases  undecided in the current term, and the next reporting dare is 4/15. Many muni investors and dealers have become edgy because the presumption was that the case would easily be decided in favor of the status quo.  That is still the prevailing opinion as reported by Bloomberg yesterday.

If the decision is instead that all munis must be treated alike, then I guess each state would have to decide to tax all or none. In either case, single state muni CEF could be most impacted, particularly those for high tax states.  I have avoided them for other reasons, such as fund illiquidity in my state.  There is another latent issue having to do with the tax exemption for private use munis, but I don't have a good feel for the specifics.   Maybe next week, we'll have an answer.  Best wishes,  Bill

To find the etf, and cef filters you need to click on the filters button on the right. Then drop down the industry tab to find what you are looking for. Below is a link to the etf's.

At first glance, the site is very nice and potentially useful.  However, I think there is a problem with either their data or their graphs.  I was looking at DCA and noticed that the prices implied by the graph were quite a bit lower than what one sees on BigCharts or MarketWatch screens. 

My records show that DCA closed at $8.06 at the end of 2007 and has a loss to date.  The DCA graph on this site shows a gain for 2008 and a close of around $7 at the end of 2007.  This raises some questions about the utility of this site.

I have not had a chance to test other securities but I doubt if DCA is an isolated case. 

Has anybody found any other oddities with this site?
