FTEK

Insiders have been picking up odd lots of this stock at around $24 per share for the past several months.  It sold off this morning to a 52 week low of about $17.50.  It seems to have a product line that should have a very bright future and is turning a profit.   What is not to like about this thing?

There is an announcement on M* stating that FTEK will be reporting qtrly earnings on 5/6.  Apparently the market is anticipating something good.

Hi Uh. What in your estimation would be a good entry point for this one? I obviously missed out on the December downturn. This thing didn't start taking off until '05.  So if the Dems get in, do you think this thing might grow some more with the green movement? I'm a little "green" myself on this one .   ;)

Speaking strictly from a T/A viewpoint, yesterday was a good entry point when it broke above $23.13.  For someone that is a bit more cautous, a close above $25.00 and a stop at $23.12 should provide as much confidence as is needed.  A break above $25 should start a run to the $29-$31 range.  My feeling is that anything beyond $31 will be dependant on the quarterly earnings report.
Do your due diligence,

Why did FTEK vapor lock around +67 cents? The candlestick chart shows all red today and there is another pesky gap to fill. Could be able to get in a little lower, and maybe not. I am betting lower but it is in an uptrend. I'll buy back in at the 50 DMA which as of today is 20.70.

Did anyone notice the large lot that traded at the close on CDE?

Good luck!

I think the gap up this a m will be a gap and run which may never fill.  We'll see what happens there.

Based on $XAU there may have been a few miners that had large buys in the last few moments of trading.  ANO also had high volume, positive activity just before the close.

I know.  CDE is and so is ANO.

I'm not sure what you mean by vapor lock.  FTEK's price did tail off during the day, but surged up into the close.  Nothing goes up in straight lines.

I was flicking and clicking that day so forgive me. Sometimes, when you get old, things don't register as they should.

It seemed to me that when FTEK landed around +67 cents it couldn't be moved which seemed strange to me. Long term investors shouldn't worry about these little things. I am just looking for a place to get back in. Like you said, trees don't grow to the sky. Even though it is in an uptrend, There will be a time to buy back in.

I can't do ANO with only 8 employees. Still looking for an entry back into CDE.

FTEK is selling off sharply as I type.  I have found no news and the earnings report is not due until next week.  I am guessing that someone is trying to drive down the price so they can buy a bit cheaper.   This would be risky, but it might be an entry point.

Fwiw, I still have mine.

The candlestick chart is giving a "dark cloud cover" bearish signal, RSI is dropping off, and the money flow index (MFI) is tanking.

I may get my entry point after all. If it hits the 200 dma I'll buy back in. (22.60)

Hi,

I am new to this forum, and found this thread on FTEK here. The company seems to be a good investment, and I heard it reported record results for the first quarter. Would you advise me whether it's not to late to enter FTEK or maybe it's worth waiting another downturn? Thanks.
