Yes, I have experience with them. I invested 20K with them in September of 2006. They told me that the imaging center would be up and running in October 2006, and that I should start recieving monthly checks then. They predicted a first year return of 15%, and after a return of 50%.

Since I didn't hear any news from them, I started calling at the begginning of November. I've been calling for 2 1/2 months, and no one has returned my calls. I have recieved no checks. I'm beginning to wonder what's going on with this company, and what the future holds.

It turns out that Rapidscan had an incorrect email on file for me, so I did not receive the email updates on the delayed launch of the imaging center. Now I have been thoroughly updated and am back in the communications loop.

My faith has been restored, and I am optimistic of the prospects of this investment again!

Todd.

looks like the same partners in rapidscan (www.rapidscanimaging.com) are now trying to raise capital for exactly the same business model (www.mobileimagingsystems.com), just do a nevada secretary of state business search

for those who have invested in rapidscan since 2006, did you actually start collecting your monthly checks and on your way to realize an annual 15%? would reinvest your money today in this new "mobile imaging systems" business with the same rapidscan partners?

I'd avoid getting Rapidscammed. There are better opportunities out there.

Dear Readers,

We are creating this posting and its subsequent thread for the following reasons:

1)      To address past posts about Mobile Imaging Systems, LP (MIS) and any related entities.

2)      Clarify and make known the Company’s objectives.

3)      To address Investor concerns and questions, including response to existing online posts.

4)      Update the public on the Company progress.

5)      Give you online links to accurate and authentic news and information about the Company.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

1)      The General Partner of Mobile Imaging Systems, LP (MIS) is Mobile Medical Imaging, Inc. (MMI) of Carson City, Nevada. MMI was the General Partner of a predecessor partnership named RapidScan Imaging, LP (RSI). RSI was a victim to the following unfortunate incidents hindering its continued growth and eventual sustainability.

a.       The Introduction of the “Deficit Reduction Act of 2007.”

b.      Negative online publicity on online forums (such as this one), eliminating any potential new investor subscriptions.

c.       The Company image was tarnished due to negative online publicity. Thus damaging the company’s credibility and making it impossible for RSI to secure contracts with hospitals.

2)      Mobile Imaging System’s business objectives are to operate mobile diagnostic imaging facilities that serve small to medium sized hospitals and physician groups that do not have the financial means to purchase and operate their own diagnostic imaging facilities.

3)      There have been past posts placed on Morningstar.com regarding the affiliation of RapidScan Imaging, LP and Mobile Imaging Systems, LP.  It is true that the General Partner Mobile Medical Imaging, Inc. is involved in both partnerships and both partnerships utilize the exact same business model. The creation of MIS was a necessity for MMI's survival due to the negative publicity that RapidScan faced, making it nearly impossible for RapidScan to secure contracts with hospitals or to raise additional funds to maintain its business operations. Due to these circumstances, RapidScan has paved the way and cleared some major hurdles for the creation, operation and continued expansion of Mobile Imaging Systems, LP.

4)      Mobile Imaging Systems has had a very exciting year and we look forward to many more exciting achievements to come in the New Year.  Below are some major milestones and objectives that the Company achieved since its establishment in February 2007.

a.       In November 2007, the Company purchased a “GE GoldSeal Advanced PET NXi” mobile scanner with trailer. The company has leveraged a major interim opportunity in the market to begin generating immediate revenues, building the Company’s financial stability. The company is still pursuing its initial objective of purchasing a “GE Discovery ST PET/CT” scanner with trailer.

b.      In September 2007, the Company hired a Director of Business Development. This team member is responsible for line operations in business development, operations and marketing the Company’s services.

c.       In September 2007, the Company hired a Director of Clinical Services who’s duties will include responsibility for clinical, strategic and administrative operations for the Company. This will ensure that the Company exceeds its client’s expectations and industry best practices, while maintaining maximum efficiency and profitability.

5)      Mobile Imaging Systems will post links on its website www.MobileIMagingSystems.com for all the Company’s updates, press releases and announcements. Additionally, existing partners and investors will receive regular updates and newsletters by email. We will try our best to keep these forums and threads updated with Company information.

If you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to call the GENERAL PARTNER, toll free at 1-866-716-7226. This will help us to avoid any misunderstandings or posting any wrong information about Mobile Imaging Systems that can be harmful to the partnership, its partners, employees, investors, clients and patients.

We thank you for your time.

Best Regards,

Jay A. Kahane

General Partner

I spoke with them at one point in time. I thougt the minimum investment was $25K for a partnership. I guess my question is: is there really that many hospitals outsourcing these machines and if you basically are a partner in purchasing these machine what it the life span and maintenance on them.

I'm still waiting on any mailings of financial statements or updates to the website that were promised in my last conversation with Jay Kahane. Investors in RapidScan LP  need to be  informed of what the future entails for our investment. I'm sure glad to see that the truck of Mobile Imaging Systems LP will roll soon. I've been waiting since Jan. 2006 for RapidScan LP to even purchase a truck, muchless roll it. I invite all investors in RapidScan to E-mail me of their dealings with this investment at HAMMONDTYGER@AOL.COM. I also would like to hear from investors of  (MMI) Mobile Imaging Systems LP also. Feel free to e-mail me at your convienence. I'm asking Jay to post his goals and objectives for the RapidScan Imaging Investors also. We were the first investors for this venture and should be given the information we need to give us an idea of when and if we will ever start generating revenue from this project. Two years and no financial statements, one web update, and 0% return sucks! Are you investors with (MMI) getting regular updates via mail, e-mail, or your web site?

Thanks,

Scott

What an absolutely scary situation for the investors of this. I wonder how much money they raised? Now all they have to do is declare bankrupcy and they walk away with a nice sum.

I spoke again with Jay and he cleared up my questions. It's critical that we the investors not ruin our chances of success by bashing these guys online. We will all lose out. Given the circumstances of the obstacles faced, they have finally purchased a truck. Now, we need to give them time to set it up and start generating revenue. This investment is not a scam. They could have skipped town a long time ago, but  they have chosen to overcome the obstacles. We as investors need to be supportive and give them the time to do it right.

I feel extremely happy and lucky I did not invest my money. It sounded too good to be true.

Initially they said $15K is the minimum investment but were ready for me to invest $5K if I wanted. I did talk to one of my Doctor friends. The technology and business model sounded good. But I did not believe the kind of returns they were offering.

Me too banker. If I am going to make an investment I need more transparency and would need more DD. I just didn't think the concept made a lot of sense, I would have to check with some rural hospitals to see if they lease services such as this. Good luck to all invested.

hi,  there is a newer mobile imaging investment called -

http://www.mobilediagnosticcenters.com/index.php

It sounds exactly like the others. Min $25k, 15% yearly, Nevada based, GE PET/CT scanner.

Does anyone have opinions on them or is already an investor?

Thanks.

hi all --

I invested 25K in Mobile Imaging Systems in July 2007, with all the usual promises. MIS hasn't delivered on any of these promises, as of yet. Yesterday I received a 2007 tax declaration form in the mail, stating my original investment.

Question:  Is there any way to withdraw my original investment, and if so, how?  I doubt seriously that Jay and his boys will give such up voluntarily.  Has any other investors considered withdrawing, and if so, any luck getting one's money back?

Any attorneys out there who know if/how suit can be brought against Mobile Imaging Systems LP?

Any help/feedback would be most appreciated.

Thank you

If it were me, I would start by contacting Mobile Imaging first and tell them you would like your intial investment back and see what happens. I would imagine there are agencies out there that protect against these types of scams, if not contact a litigation lawyer and see what happens. Good luck, keep us posted on what happens.
