Not sure what to post, so I'll post something I think is useful. I'm not partial to lengthy diatribes,so it'll be short.

If you're new to investing and not sure where to start or what to read, read one book first:

The Intelligent Investor by Ben Graham.

And never forget, investing is not a holy war, nor is it a competition. Your goal is not to beat the market or beat anonymous people you've never met and don't care about...it's to reach whatever financial goals you set for yourself in a way you're comfortable doing.
