I have a few different retirement accounts: Sep, Roth, 403B.  Please give any suggestions to improve my portfolio.   500 index 11%, Target Retirement 21%,REIT 23, Windsor 11%, Morgan Growth 34%.   One thing I plan to do is cut the Morgan Growth in half and put 17% into the Total International Stock Market Index.

OK, here is my free rating (ranting?) and advice, which, of course, is worthless:

I don't know exactly which Morgan fund you have but I don't think those guys would ever do you any favors as they charge high fees.  Dump it.

Dump 500 index, the US market has lots of problems that will take it down further.  Keep the REIT fund---it has good upside potential.  Keep Windsor, hopefully it is Windsor II, gives you some good US stocks.

I don't get this Target retirement stuff---looks like fluff to me.  Why not invest hard and bold NOW for highest return?

So, with the 67% left:  20% Vanguard Emerging Markets; 20% Vanguard Global Equity and 17% Third Avenue Value TAVFX.

Yes, that is a lot of foreign, but I think that has much more potential to go up farther and faster.  Third Ave Value has some Japan & China.  Marty Whitman has an amazing track record of good choices.

Thank you for your advice. I have looked up th funds and they are mostly 4&5 star funds. I will try to change some things around.

TAVFX has significant foreign exposure.

Why do you care about how many stars they have in their ratings? If it were that easy, we'd all buy a bunch of five star funds and go lay on the beach and wait to get rich. Don't get caught up in the marketing hype. High ratings aren't forever, and neither are low ones.
