Tom Gayner, CEO of Markel, is considered to be a guru at Gurufocus. The publicly traded companies in his portfolio can be seen here:

Looks like he's heavily into Berkshire, and also owns White Mountain Insurance.

I generally agree that Markel is a worthy addition to the Small-Cap Superstars pick list.
